Three gifts is a set of three short stories I’ve written as a gift to my father and his brothers, as a thank-you for the special times my wife and I had with them at Thanksgiving.  They are a retelling of the Polish legend of the dragon Smok Wawelski, the Indian legend of the Alibates flint, and a story from “The Mother Road”. 

I completed the first draft last night, and after another draft, may be considering this short collection for a first experiment with self publishing.  I’m curious to see what the process is like, what the out of pocket expense is, and maybe to evaluate the process for one of my novels.
